I’m Dawn—part strategist, part storyteller, all-in creative. I bring imagination and intention to every project, blending big ideas with sharp execution and just the right dose of wit and authenticity.

I’ve spent my career helping brands find their voice and helping creatives find their rhythm. Along the way, I’ve built award-winning teams and helped grow one of the largest woman-owned, woman-led advertising agencies in Texas. I’m proud of the work—but I’m even more proud of the people behind it.

My love for storytelling started early. I was that kid who wore out VHS tapes watching commercials, movies, and music videos on repeat. That obsession turned into a passion—and eventually, a career. Over the years, I’ve directed hundreds of video projects across civic, education, healthcare, and travel industries, helping shape how people see the world—and what they do next.

But what truly lights me up is giving back. For more than 25 years, I’ve mentored creatives, served on national and local boards, and championed change in the arts, education, and beyond. Whether I’m advocating through AIGA National or cheering on girls at Girls Inc. of Tarrant County, I believe in lifting others as I climb.

These days, I serve as Partner, President, and Executive Creative Director at Alpha Business Images (ABI) in Dallas, Texas—where I also live with my husband, Derek.

THE AD COUNCIL NATIONAL ADVISORY MEMBER

The Ad Council is where creativity and causes converge and I serve on the National Advisory Council. As the BLM movement continued to unfold, I wanted to dive-in in a meaningful, actionable way and help educate and advocate for the comprehensive safety and security of people of color. Through my time on the committee we have been thought partners on several campaigns and initiatives including racial justice, healthcare inequity, vaccine education, and economic mobility.

AIGA NATIONAL EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBER

My desire to make a larger impact by helping to drive the organization forward for members motivated me to serve on the national level as Nomination Committee Chair, Corporate Relations Chair, and Secretary of the board helping to build a more diverse, inclusive, strategic, and forward-thinking organization. I’m not new to the organization, giving back for more than a decade locally as a mentor, advisor, speaker, portfolio judge and content contributor.

Girls Inc is a place where girls grow strong, smart and bold. It’s a place where my true calling for advocacy was cultivated. I’m currently serving on the Marketing/Fund Development Committee where I help hone strategy and offer thought leadership around specific initiatives. At Girls Inc I can speak up for what is right and move to action for equity and equality.
